Partnership Announcement
AFC Crewe is delighted to announce the club will enter into a partnership with charity The Percy Hedley Foundation.
The Percy Hedley Foundation supports people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities, and additional communications needs. They provide special education, care, support, accommodation, and lifelong learning opportunities at their two schools, college, homes, and Horizons lifelong learning service.
AFC Crewe board member Craig's stepson attends one of the Percy Hedley Foundation’s schools and gifted sponsorship to the charity so their logo will be donning the AFC Crewe kits free of charge. The charity’s logo will be appearing on the AFC Crewe home and away shorts for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
AFC Crewe Co-Chairmen Liam Bond and Gareth Jones said:
“We want to ensure that AFC Crewe continually gives back to the community and we are thrilled to be showcasing such a worthy cause on our shorts next season. We are extremely grateful to Craig for approaching us with this opportunity, and for ensuring sponsorship for The Percy Hedley Foundation is at no cost to them. We look forward to working with this, and other, charities on an ongoing basis.”
AFC Crewe board member Craig said: “I’m excited to be a part of bringing the club and The Percy Hedley Foundation together. My stepson Zak attends their Jesmond site and is also a massive fan of AFC Crewe, being the clubs first ever mascot back in October. Specialist provisions like the Percy Hedley Foundation are severely underfunded and rely on donations to continue providing the services they do which are vital to families across the North East of England. AFC Crewe are a welcoming and inclusive club, with members who have disabilities, are part of the LGBTQ+ community and in locations all across the world. This two year partnership will hopefully be very fruitful for both the Percy Hedley Foundation and AFC Crewe.”
